The selling continued today on the back of worse than expected economic data and uncertainty being signaled from the Fed. Gold spiked higher triggered by safe harbor buying while the US Dollar sunk against the Euro. While stocks traded erratically for most of the day, strong late day selling pushed the indexes solidly into the red by the close. The DJIA dropped 29.93, the tech heavy Nasdaq gave up 1.82, and the broad based S&P 500 dropped 3.29.
