Overbought conditions finally brought out sellers in droves as both the Dow industrials and the S&P 500 lost more than 4%.

The Dow pulled back by 381.99. The Nasdaq Composite fell 66.83. And the S&P 500 closed lower by 42.73.

Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Wednesday.

Applied Materials (AMAT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) reported earnings after the bell on Tuesday. The 10 cent EPS loss was in line with lowered expectations for the firm.

Dean Foods (DF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is expected to announced quarterly earnings of 39 cents on Wednesday before the market opens.

Analysts are expecting Ingersoll-Rand (IR | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) to announce EPS of 28 cents in its earnings report Wednesday morning.

19 cents is what analysts are expecting to hear from Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) when the company reports quarterly earnings Wednesday before the bell.

General Motors (GM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced that it was eliminating 10,000 salaried jobs around the world and reducing pay in order to remain eligible for continued public assistance.
