Morning News

Futures are pointing to a higher open at this point in the morning.

European markets are trading higher today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end higher.

Crude oil is $88.26 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.28 per gallon.

Natural gas is sitting at $7.69 per unit.

Gold is just below $890.00 per ounce.

Weekly jobless claims will released at 8:30 this morning.

December existing home sales numbers will be released at 10:00 this morning.

The Energy Dept. will release weekly oil inventory levels at 10:30 this morning.

Yesterday's action saw the Dow rally nearly 300 points, the Nasdaq finished 24 points higher, and the S&P closed 28 points higher.

Nokia Corp. reports better than expected 44% profit rise in past quarter.

Ebay Inc. past quarter comes in at expectations, but forcast guidance falls short of expectations.

Ford reports a loss of 20 cents a share on $44.1 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter.

Nintendo sales nearly double on very strong WII sales.
