Morning News

Futures are pointing to a much lower open this morning.

European markets are trading lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 took a hit.

Crude oil is down to $90.46 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is now $2.27 per gallon.

Natural gas is sitting just above $8.00 per unit.

Gold is currently $886.00 per ounce.

December Consumer Price Index will be released at 8:30 this morning.

December industrial production will be out just before the open this morning.

The Energy Dept. will release weekly oil inventory levels at 10:30 this morning.

Yesterday's action saw the Dow get a 277 point beat down, the Nasdaq lost 60 points, and the S&P gave back 35 points.

Mitt Romney wins Michigan Primary.

Oracle to buy Bea Systems for $19.375 per share.

Intel Corp. reports weak quarterly profit growth, and forward guidance comes in below expectations.

JP Morgan quarterly net falls 34% and reports a $1.3 billion write down.
