Morning News

Futures are pointing to a higher open this morning.

European markets are trading to the upside so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did close lower.

Crude oil is currently $97.67 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.49 per gallon.

Natural gas sitting just below $8.00 per unit.

Gold is sitting at $863.00 per ounce.

Friday's action saw the Dow get pounded to the tune of 256 points, the Nasdaq took a 98 point beat down, and the S&P lost 35 points.

Economist meeting over the weekend in New Orleans saying avoiding a recession will be very difficult.
