Morning News

Futures are pointing to a lower open at this point in the morning.

European markets are trading lower today.

Crude oil is sitting just below $100.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.56 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.87 per unit.

Gold briefly touching a fresh record high of $870.00 an ounce.

Weekly jobless claims will be out at 8:30 this morning.

December ADP employment report will be out before the market opens this morning.

Energy Dept. will release weekly oil inventories at 10:30 this morning.

Automakers will be releasing December sales figures today.

Yesterday's action saw the Dow take a beat down to the tune of 220 points, the Nasdaq lost 42 points, and the S&P gave back 21 points.

It is being reported that the Weather Channel could be for sale for as much as $5 billion.

Netflix reportedly set to deliver movies directly to the television via a box connected to high speed internet connection.

Citrus growers in Florida worried after temps. across the state dip into the 20's.
