Morning News

Futures are pointing to a lower open this morning.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did lose ground.

Crude oil is $91.05 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.34 per gallon.

Natural gas is sitting just under $7.00 per unit.

Gold is currently $794.00 per ounce.

Pending home sales for the month of October will be released at 10:00 this morning.

Friday's action saw the Dow give back 178 points, the Nasdaq lost 32 points, and the S&P fell by 20 points.

Alan Greenspan over the weekend stating he is worried about inflation, and gives a 50/50 chance of a recession.

The Senate has approved legislation which will increase fuel economy standards for autos.

Ingersoll Rand to buy Trane for $10.1 billion.

Toyota Motor to boost global production to nearly 10 million vehicles.

Winter storms blankets the Northeast with wintery mess.

In Sports the New England Patriots remain unbeaten with two games to play. Next week they will play the Miami Dolphins, and on the final weekend of the regular season they will play the New York Giants.
