Morning News

Futures are pointing to a lower open this morning.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Crude oil is sitting at $94.73 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.41 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.44 per unit.

Gold hanging in at $814.00 per ounce.

Weekly jobless claims will be released at 8:30 this morning.

November producer price index will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Retail sales data also due to be released this morning.

Yesterday's action saw the Dow finish up 41 points, the Nasdaq ended 18 points higher, and the S&P gained 8.9 points.

Dow Chemical to get $9.5 billion for selling 50% stake in petrochemical operation.

Lehman Brothers set to release earnings today.

A report is out that the CEO of Goldman Sachs will be paid $70 million this year to run the company a 30% pay increase.
