Morning News

Futures are getting drilled at this point in the morning.

European markets are taking a hit today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 ended lower.

Crude oil is $97.64 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.43 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.44 per unit.

Gold sitting just below $800.00 per ounce.

Weekly jobless claims will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Leading indicators for the month of October will be out at 10:00 this morning.

University of Michigan's consumer sentiment poll will be out at 10:00.

Weekly oil inventories set for release at 10:30 this am.

Yesterday's action saw the Dow gain 51 points, the Nasdaq up 3 points, and the S&P adding 6 points.

Henry Paulson believes home loan defaults will rise in 2008.

The yen reaching new highs against the U.S. dollar.

Whole Foods forcast for next years growth to rise as much as 30% and lifts dividend.
