Morning News

Futures are pointing to a lower open this morning.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Crude oil pulling back just a bit to $92.52 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.30 per gallon.

Natural gas sitting just below $8.00 per unit.

Gold pulling back just a bit to $787.00 per ounce.

The Fed will begin two days of meetings today. Most expectations call for a rate cut which will be announced on Wednesday.

October consumer confidence will be released this morning.

Google reportedly close to releasing plans for the cell phone market. A phone is expected to be available by the middle of 2008.

Laurence Fink is a name that keeps popping up to replace Stan O'neal at Merrill Lynch.

CEO at KB Home Jeffrey Mezger believes home prices in California could drop another 10-15 percent over the next 18 months.
