Morning News

Futures are pointing to a slightly higher open at this point in the morning.

European markets are trading higher today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Crude oil is on the move again the current price is $88.53 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is up to $2.18 per gallon.

Natural gas is sitting at $7.07 per unit.

Gold is currently $771.00 per ounce.

Weekly jobless claims will be released at 8:30 this morning.

September durable goods orders will be released at 8:30 this morning.

September new home sales will be out at 10:00 this morning.

The Energy Dept. will release weekly natural gas inventories at 10:30 this morning.

Microsoft, Motorola, Dow Chemical, Comcast, Aetna, Starwood Hotels, and Bristol Myers Squibb just a few of the companies set to release quarterly results.

Bank of America to review its investment banking business, and plans to cut 3,000 jobs.

CFO at Royal Dutch Shell doesn't understand why oil prices are so high. He believes speculation more than demand is pushing the price higher.

Microsoft investing $240 million in Facebook.

In game 1 of the World Series the Boston Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies 13-1. Game two from Boston is tonight.
