Morning News

Futures are flat to slightly higher at this point in the morning.

European markets are trading flat so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 ended just a bit lower.

Crude oil is back just above $81.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.05 per gallon.

Natural gas is currently $7.34 per unit.

Gold is sitting at $742.00 per ounce.

The highly anticipated jobs report for the month of September will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Consumer credit figures will be out this afternoon.

Federal prosecutors launch investigation into two mortgage related hedge funds at Bear Stearns.

Alcatel Lucent reportedly in danger of losing part of major contract with At&T Inc.
