Morning News

Futures are pointing to a flat open this morning.

European markets are trading just a bit higher at this point.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end slightly higher.

Crude oil is $81.40 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.03 per gallon.

Natural gas sitting at $6.88 per unit.

Gold is up to $752.00 per ounce.

Today marks the start of the fourth quarter.

The dollar is bouncing off all time lows against the euro.

UBS saying it will report its first quarterly loss in nine years.

Nokia Corp. reportedly in talks to buy Navteq Corp.

Vietnam Airlines in talks to buy 12 787-8s from Boeing Company.

UPS and Teamsters reach a new tentative five year contract deal.

Under new deal with United Auto Workers General Motors may close more plants.
