Morning News

Futures are pointing to a higher open this morning.

European markets are trading higher today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end just a bit higher.

Crude oil sitting just above $80.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.04 per gallon.

Natural gas is currently $6.32 per unit.

Gold is hanging at $737.00 per ounce.

Durable goods orders for the month of August will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Energy Dept. will release weekly oil inventory levels at 10:30 this morning.

The U.S. dollar bouncing off record lows against the euro.

General Motors and the United Auto Workers have reportedly reached a tentative deal.

Toyota stating the company may not see a rise in September sales.

Goldman Sachs downgrades Sprint Nextel this morning.

Nasdaq and Borse Dubai have raised their bid for OMX.

Presidential candidates will square off in New Hampshire tonight.
