Futures are pointing to a flat to slightly higher open this morning.

European markets are trading just a bit higher so far today.

Most Asian markets were closed.

Crude oil pulling back a bit to $80.95 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.09 per gallon.

Natural gas sitting just below $6.00 per unit.

Gold up to $742.00 per ounce.

Ben Bernanke will be speaking on education and agriculture today.

The U.S. dollar bouncing off new lows against the euro.

Homebuilders will be reporting earnings this week.

Ford Motor Company CEO Alan Mulally still believes the company will be profitable in 2009.

United Auto Workers ready to strike today at 11:00 this morning. A report is out stating that General Motors and the union are close to a national contract.
