Morning News

Futures are pointing to a lower open at this point this morning.

European markets are trading lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Crude oil is $69.61 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline sitting at $1.91 per gallon.

Natural gas down to $5.58 per unit.

Gold up just a bit to $669.00 per ounce.

Durable goods orders for the month of July will be out before the open this morning.

July new home sales figures will be out at 10:00 this morning.

Home Depot reportedly may except $1.2 billion less than original price agreed on for its wholesale distribution business.

Gap Inc. reports a jump in quarterly profit, raise outlook for rest of 2007, and announcing a $1.5 billion share buyback.

Mexican oil rigs only suffer minor damage from hurricane Dean and output is almost back to normal.

Senator John Warner calling for President Bush to start pulling troops out of Iraq by Christmas.
