European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did close higher.

Crude oil sitting just below $71.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.92 per gallon.

Natural gas dipping to $5.95 per unit.

Gold sitting at $665.00 per ounce.

Meeting scheduled this morning for Ben Bernanke, Hank Paulson, and Chris Dodd.

Foreclosures for the month of July up 9% over the month of June.

Google Inc. forming a partnership with Chinese social networking site.

Capital One Financial cutting 1,900 jobs and to close its wholesale mortgage business.

Dell Computer delaying shipments of notebook computers.

Hurricane Dean has made landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula as a category 5 storm.
