Morning News

Futures are pointing to another poor start for the markets this morning.

European markets are getting drilled again today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 also taking a hit.

Crude oil is $70.88 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.92 per gallon.

Natural gas back above $6.50 per unit.

Gold taking a step back yesterday to $672.00 per ounce.

Import and export prices for the month of July will be released before the open this morning.

Treasury budget for the month of July also set to be released before the open.

Yesterday the Dow experienced its second worst day since 2003.

Securities and Exchange Commission looking into books at major brokerage firms in effort to find more losses caused by subprime mortgage fallout.

Countrywide Financial now saying future profit will be effected by distruptions in the credit market.

Nvidia Corp. out with stronger than expected quarter and the company also announcing a 3 for 2 stock split.
