Morning News

Futures are pointing to a lower open this morning.

European markets are trading to the downside today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Crude oil is up to $74.70 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.13 per gallon.

Natural gas slipping to $6.37 per unit.

Gold is currently $664.00 per ounce.

June consumer price index will be out at 8:30 this morning.

June industrial production will be released before the open this morning.

Ben Bernanke will testify before congress on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Yahoo, and Intel just a few of the companies set to report earnings today.

Tentative $5 billion deal reached with News Corp. and Dow Jones.

United technologies unit Pratt and Whitney Rocketdyne has been awarded $1.2 billion NASA contract.

Lear Corp. shareholders turn down $2.9 billion buyout offer by group led by Carl Icahn.
