Morning News

Futures are pointing to a slightly higher open this morning.

European markets are trading slightly higher at this point this morning.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day just a tick higher.

April housing starts will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Building permit figures for the month of April will also be released at 8:30 this morning.

April industrial production numbers will be out just before the market open this morning.

Energy Dept. will release weekly oil inventory levels at 10:30 this morning.

Another rcord close for the Dow yesterday while the Nasdaq closed down just over 21 points.

Average U.S. household is currently spending $1,000 more per year for gasoline than it did just 5 years ago.

Alan Greenspan to do some consulting for Allianz Pacific Management Company.

Carl Ichan has taken large stake in Anadarko Petroleum. It is being reported that he has bought just over $133 million worth of stock.

Crude oil is $62.82 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.29 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.84 per unit.

Gold remains just above $672.00 per ounce.
