Morning News

Futures are pointing to a rebound after yesterday's sharp decline.

Fourth quarter gross domestic product figures will be released before the open this morning.

Chicago PMI will be released at 9:45 this morning.

January new home sales will be released at 10:00 this morning.

Energy Dept. will release oil inventories at 10:30 this morning.

European markets are trading to the downside again so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Yesterday's selloff was the biggest drop in the market in nearly 5 years.

Ben Bernanke will be speaking before the House today.

Home Depot Inc. expects 2007 earnings per share to be down between 4% and 9% per share.

BlackRock Inc. raising quarterly dividend by 60%.

Lockheed Martin Corp. reportedly has been awarded $979.2 million contract by the Dept. of Defense.

Crude oil is currently just below $61.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is now $1.80 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.46 per unit.

Gold taking a hit is currently $679.00 per ounce.
