Morning News

Futures are down a bit this morning pointing to a lower open.

European markets are trading to the downside today.

Asian markets also were to the downside today.

Ben Bernanke will be on Capitol Hill this week to testify.

Nasdaq Stock Market reportedly has failed to get enough support for takeover of the London Stock Exchange.

Novelis Inc. to be bought by Hindalco Industries for $44.93 per share or about $6 billion.

Saudi Arabian oil minister believes the oil market is much stronger now, and believes no production cuts will be needed in March.

Google Inc. being accused of producing traffic to web sites that offer illegal downloads of movies.

Research In Motion set to unveil new version of the BlackBerry.

The Lundberg Survey showing gas prices on the rise over the past couple of weeks. The average price of a regular gallon of unleaded gas in the country is $2.22 per gallon.

Crude oil is down this morning to $59.08 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is currently 1.58 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.40 per unit.

Gold down just a bit to $668.00 per ounce.
