New York area manufactoring sentiment will be released today.

European markets are trading slightly lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end just a bit lower.

Both Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite radio have been upgraded at J.P. Morgan this morning.

General Electric to buy aerospace unit from Britains Smiths Group for $4.8 billion.

Pfizer Inc. expected to announce more job cuts when the CEO speaks next week.

DaimlerChrysler reportedly has signed deal for 24% stake in Beigi Foton Motor Company.

Intel Corp. will be reporting quarterly results after the close today.

Sony has shipped 1 million playstation units to Japan. The company is about two weeks behind schedule with the shipments.

Netflix set to begin showing TV. episodes as well as movies on the internet.

Crude oil is $53.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.43 per gallon.

Natural gas $6.74 per unit.

Gold sitting just under $627.00 per ounce.
