Morning News

Futures are up a bit this morning pointing to a higher open.

European markets are flat to slightly lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day with higher.

Weekly jobless claims will be released before the open today.

Energy Dept. will release natural gas inventories at 10:30 this morning.

Philadelphia Fed Survey will be released at noon today.

Final reading of third quarter GDP will be released today.

Seagate Technology to buy Evault Inc. for $185 million.

Illumina Inc. gets anti trust ok to acquire Solexa Inc.

Reports are out that Boston Scientific has reached a deal with the Cleveland Clinic. The two year deals clears the way for the clinic to only use Bostons Scientific's stents.

Raytheon Company to sell aircraft making unit.

Snow storm dumps over two feet of snow in Colorado. Airport mail service, and public transportation shut down in Denver.

Oil is down just a bit this morning to $63.40 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.67 per gallon.

Natural gas has dipped below $7.00 per unit.

Gold is $624.00 per ounce.
