Futures are up this morning pointing to a higher open.

New home sales figures for November will be released today.

Energy Dept. will release oil inventories today at 10:30.

Fed Beige Book will be released this afternoon.

Asian markets ended the day higher. In Europe markets are trading to the upside today.

Ford reportedly reaching buyout deals with about 35,000 hourly employees.

General Motors to focus more on the development of battery powered vehicles.

Pfizer Inc. to lay off up to 20% of its sales force.

BHP Billiton reportedly looking to gain exposure in gold.

San Diego city council has voted to ban giant stores like Wal-Mart. Stores of 90,000 feet who use 10% of the space to sell food no longer allowed.

Oil has made its way back up to $61.30 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is also higher at $1.62 per gallon.

Natural gas is $8.62 per unit.

Gold is currently $644.00 per ounce.
