Morning News

  • Futures are pretty flat this morning, pointing to a slightly lower open.

Business inventories for September will be released this morning.

Retail sales figures for October will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Producer price index for October to be released before the open this morning.

European markets are trading slightly lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day higher.

A Japanese paper is reporting many problems with the PS3 made by Sony. The system is having problems with the console not being able to play older Playstation games.

Warren Buffet has cut his stake in Ameriprise Financial Inc. He still holds about 6% of the company.

Tivo Inc. plans to add a feature which will allow downloads from the internet to be played on the television.

Executives from General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler to meet with President Bush today.

Crude oil is currently $58.68 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.54 per gallon.

Natural gas is just below *.00 per unit.

Gold is $624.00 per ounce.
