Morning News

  • Futures are up pointing to a higher open this morning.

Weekly jobless claims will be released at 8:30 this morning.

September durable goods orders will be released this morning.

September new home sales due to be released at 10:00 this morning.

Energy Dept. will release natural gas inventories this morning at 10:30.

European markets are trading to the upside today. In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day higher.

Dow Chemical third quarter sales rise 10% to $12.4 billion, and the company did announce a $2 billion stock buyback.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to expand its generic drug program to 12 more states sooner than expected.

Sony Corp. saw a decline in profit of 94%

President Bush to sign bill for 700 miles of fencing along the Mexican border.

The St Louis Cardinals, and Detroit Tigers were rained out last night. Game four will be played tonight.

Crude oil jumped up to $61.29 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline also up current price is $1.58 per gallon.

Natural gas is up to $7.70 per unit.

Gold is $594.00 per ounce.
