Morning News

  • Futures are pointing to a lower open this morning.

European markets are trading lower this morning, while in Asia markets ended the day lower.

Boston Scientific warns on third quarter revenue may fall short of expectations.

Sony Corp. to slash prices on Playstation 3 by 20% in Japan.

JDS Uniphase Corp. has approved a 1 for 8 reverse split.

Palm Inc. reporting a quarterly profit drop. The company also has approved a $250 million share buyback.

Take Two Interactive Software has recieved letter from the Nasdaq stating the company is not in compliace with listing requirements.

Texas Instruments to buy back $5 billion in shares. The company has also lifted quarterly dividend.

Eleven more cases of E.coli reported yesterday. Officials urging people not to eat fresh or raw spinach of any kind.

The Ryder Cup gets under way in Straffan Ireland this morning.

Crude oil up a bit to $61.94 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline back up to just over $1.50 per gallon.

Natural gas remains below $5.00 per unit.

Gold moving up a bit to $596.00 per ounce.
