Morning News

  • Futures are pointing to a flat to slightly higher open this morning.
  • After the close yesterday Texas Instruments Inc. reported 4th quarter income rose 34% from 1 year ago. Total sales did come in a bit shy of analysts expectations.
  • Goldman Sachs upgraded Wal-Mart Stores to outperform.
  • DaimlerChrysler reports are out that the company will cut 20% of management jobs over the next three years.
  • Sirius Satellite Radio executives developing a document that will set boundaries for Howard Stern and other shock jocks.
  • Jury selection set to begin today in 4th Vioxx trial.
  • Crude Oil is $67.37 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is $1.77 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas is currently $8.58 per unit.
  • Gold is down just a bit this morning to $556.90 per ounce.
