Morning News

  • Futures are up a bit this morning pointing to a slightly higher open.
  • Energy Dept. to release weekly Oil Inventories this morning. Expectations call for a build in Crude and Gasoline, but a decline in Distillates.
  • Amazon.Com Inc. (AMZN) reported after the bell yesterday and the company fell short of expectations. Forward guidance for the holiday season was below expectations, and the stock traded heavily to the down side in after hours trading last night. Citigroup has come out with a downgrade this morning from a hold to a sell.
  • St.Jude, Medtronic, and Guidant Corp. have been subpoenaed for documents related to Pacemakers and Difibrillators.
  • Delphi wanting union workers to take pay cuts of up to 60% The company is also considering freezing or eliminating pension plans.
  • Crude Oil $61.96 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is $1.63 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas saw a huge jump yesterday currently $14.25 per unit. The energy Dept will release natural gas inventories on Thursday.
  • Gold is $474.30 per ounce.
