  • University of Michigan to release Preliminary September reading of Consumer Sentiment at 9:45 am.
  • President Bush addressed the nation last night from New Orleans, calling for the biggest and best reconstruction effort the world has ever seen.
  • Northwest Airlines (NWAC) 2 days into Bankruptcy plans to let go up to 400 pilots.
  • Mississippi to sue 5 large insurers over flood damage caused by hurricane Katrina.
  • Hurricane Ophelia now a tropical storm battered the Carolina Coast. Power outages, beach erosion, and some flooding being reported.
  • Crude Oil is down just a bit to $64.08 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is also a bit lower currently $1.86
  • Gold is trading at 17 year highs $462.20 per ounce.
