Morning News

  • Futures are flat this morning could see a slightly lower open today.
  • Revised Q2 Productivity report due out this morning.
  • Nortel Networks Corp. (NT) announced late yesterday that it was selected along with LG Electronics (LGEAF) as vendors for ultra high speed wireless service in Korea.
  • Ford Motor Company (F) not including it's 2006 models in the special employee pricing promotion, but is offering an additional $1,000 off select 2005 models.
  • Steel Prices expected to rise at least 20% due to hurricane Katrina.
  • Traders will be watching tropical storm Ophelia very closely the next couple of days. Ophelia sitting just off the east coast of Florida is the 15th named storm of the season.
  • Crude Oil is currently $65.73 per barrel.
  • Gold is $448.00 per ounce.
