Morning News

  • Futures are down look for another lower open today.
  • Q2 Preliminary Real GDP report out this morning.
  • August Agricultural Prices today at 3pm.
  • August Chicago PMI also today.
  • Don't forget those Oil Inventories also to be released at 10:30 am.
  • A few things Katrina is impacting besides the oil and gas companies.Imports and Exports of cargoes, Coffee, Grain, Steel, and Rubber. Navigational aids along the Mississippi river are gone, from Baton Rouge to the Gulf of Mexico remains shut down to all vessels. Dredging which will almost definately need to take place could take weeks if not months.
  • $3.00 to $3.20 a gallon is what the consumer should expect to pay for unleaded gas in the next week or so. Price of gas will have a major impact on the holliday weekend.
  • Union Leaders of mechanists are advising workers to strike after Boeing's last and best offer.
  • Crude Oil currently $70.36 per barrel.
  • Wholesale price of unleaded gas is $2.55
  • Gold went south yesterday currently $436.40 per ounce.
