  • Merck & Company (MRK) Lawyers for the company have stated some lawsuits may be settled over it's painkiller VIOXX, and it's links to heart problems.
  • Sirius Satellite Radio (SIRI) The company has plans to devote two round the clock channels for Howard Stern.
  • Pixar Animation (PIXR) The SEC is conducting an informal investigation into the companies second quarter earnings report.
  • Katrina slammed the east coast of Florida last night , and is currently back in the Gulf of Mexico. The storm is expected to gain some steam and head north towards the panhandle of Florida.
  • Crude Oil is currently $67.36 per barrel.
  • Gold is currently $443.00 per ounce.
