• WellPoint Inc. (WLP) reported strong earnings and has lifted forcast for the year. The company reported second quarter net income of $559.4 million versus $237.9 million from the same time 1 year ago. Revenue up to $11.3 billion from $4.61 billion.

• General Motors Corp. (GM) will end it's employee price discount on August 1st. The company now will focus on lower prices and not large rebates.

• Watch those oil inventories today Crude oil is currently trading just over $59.00 per barrel.
