A sweeping Wall Street regulatory bill was approved by the House of Representatives today despite strong arguments against. Stocks focused on a surprisingly stronger retail sales number and growing inventories climbed mostly higher on the final trading session of the week. The DJIA advanced 65.67, the laggard Nasdaq slipped 0.55, and the broad based S&P 500 gained 4.06.
