The massive bull rally took a breather today with stocks
sharply lower across the board. A report indicating that oil stockpiles are greater than expected cast doubt on the reality of the recovery. Energy shares led the declined and Hewlett-Packard's bid for 3Com did little to spur the bulls into action. The DJIA sunk 93.79, the tech heavy Nasdaq gave up 17.88 and the broad based S&P 500 slipped 11.27.
