7 Stocks you need to know for Wednesday

Although Apple (AAPL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and eBay (EBAY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) are scheduled to report earnings after the close on Wednesday, there are a number of stocks making earnings announcements before the bell.

The Dow closed higher by 127.83. The Nasdaq Composite ended the day up 35.64. And the S&P 500 gained 17.69.

Reporting earnings after the close on Tuesday, Yahoo! (YHOO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced per share earnings of 0.08, in line with expectations.

A large number of key stocks are reporting quarterly earnings Wednesday morning. These include consumer-related names like McDonald's (MCD | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), which is expected to report EPS of 0.82, and Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating), which is expected to announce per share earnings of 0.05.

Industrial and materials stocks will be represented in Wednesday's pre-market earnings reports, as well.
