7 Stocks you need to know for Tuesday

Bank of America (BAC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) walked away from talks with Lehman Brothers (LEH | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and instead chose to acquire Merrill Lynch (MER | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) in a deal worth $50 billion.

Adobe Systems (ADBE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) is expected to announce quarterly earnings per share of $0.46 when the company reports Tuesday after the close.

Among the few stocks moving higher on Monday were airline stocks including UAL Corporation (UAUA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) which gained more than 8% on Monday.

Goldman Sachs (GS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) reports earnings Tuesday morning before the market opens. Analysts are expecting EPS of $1.73.

American International Group (AIG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) fell more than 60% on Monday as a sell-off in financial stocks overwhelmed the markets.
