7 Stocks you need to know for Tuesday

Shares of General Motors (GM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) were higher early on Monday on the company's insistence that the only line under consideration for possible cancellation is their Hummer brand of SUVs.

Both Fannie Mae (FNM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Freddie Mac (FRE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) were sold aggressively on Tuesday, with Freddie Mac down more than 25% by mid-day.

A Barron's article this weekend suggested that earnings per share for egg producer Cal-Maine (CALM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) may climb by 290%.

Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) reports earnings tomorrow morning before the bell. Analysts are expecting earnings per share of $0.75.

Microsoft (MSFT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced that it would consider reopening its bid for Yahoo! (YHOO | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) if the company's board were to be replaced.
