7 Stocks you need to know for Monday

General Motors (GM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced plans to introduce a "mini-car" in an effort to attract American auto buyers who are turning away from SUVs and large size pickups.

Fortress Investment Group LLC and Centerbridge Partners announced that they were walking away from their $6.1 billion play to buy Penn National Gaming (PENN | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) due to financing concerns.

Freddie Mac (FRE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) shares were lower by nearly 9% on Thursday as the company announced that it would be looking to raise additional capital in August.

Shares of Aetna (AET | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) closed lower by more than 6% on word that Goldman Sachs (GS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) was downgrading the stock from "neutral" to "sell." HealthNet (HNT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) was also the target of a Goldman Sachs downgrade.

Nvidia (NVDA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) plunged more than 30% after reporting that growing competition and decreased demand for its chips would force a lowering of the company's second quarter forecast.
