7 Stocks you need to know for Wednesday

Completing terms on a joint agreement and seniority rules, Northwest Airlines Corp. (NWA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Delta Air Lines Inc. (DAL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) have removed the final obstacles to a merger of the two companies. Shares of both air carriers were up by more than 7% and 5%, respectively.

Analysts are expecting earnings per share of $0.85 when Research in Motion (RIMM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announces earnings tomorrow before the market opens.

Dow Chemical (DOW | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) announced that it would raise prices and cut back production in an effort to deal with the high cost of raw materials.
