Morning News

Futures are pointing to a slightly higher open at this point in the morning.

European markets are trading higher today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end higher.

University of Michigan's consumer confidence poll for April will be released this morning.

Yesterday's action saw the Dow tack on 85 points, the Nasdaq added 23 points, and the S&P closed 8 points higher.

Microsoft out with soft quarterly results. The company now saying current quarter will come in below expectations.

Dollar continues to gather strength against major currencies.

Treasury Dept. to begin mailing rebate checks as early as next week.

Wesley Snipes gets three years for failing to report income taxes.

Crude oil is back up to $117.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $3.02 per gallon.

Natural gas is $10.77 per unit.

Gold back down to $887.00 per ounce.
