Morning News

Futures are pointing to a higher open this morning.

European markets are trading higher today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end higher.

Yesterday's action had the Dow up 1 point, the Nasdaq was down 8 points, and the S&P finished pretty much unchanged.

Google Inc. reports 31% jump in quarterly profit. The company also reported good paid clicks numbers.

Citigroup reports a $5.1 billion loss , and wrote off $12 billion on bad mortgage investments.

Caterpillar out with better than expected quarterly results this morning.

Illionois rocked by 5.4 magnitude earthquake.

Crude oil is $114.28 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.93 per gallon.

Natural gas is $10.30 per unit.

Gold is sitting at $937.00 per ounce.
