Morning News

Futures are getting drilled here this morning.

European markets are trading lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did finish lower.

Crude oil is $110.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.69 per gallon.

Natural gas is sitting just below $10.00 per unit.

Gold has made its way up to $1,021.00 per ounce.

Friday's action saw the Dow close 194 points lower, the Nasdaq lost 51 points, and the S&P finished 27 points lower.

Federal Reserve on Sunday cut its discount rate to 3.25%

President Bush reportedly will be speeking on the economy today.

Bear Stearns has agreed to be acquired by J.P. Morgan for $236 million.

Wilber Ross to buy Option One mortgage servicing business.
