Morning News

Futures are pointing to a slightly lower open at this point in the morning.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end higher.

Crude oil is up to $101.32 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.54 per gallon.

Natural gas is sitting at $9.18 per unit.

Gold has made its way up to $960.00 an ounce.

January durable goods orders will be released at 8:30 this morning.

New home sales numbers for the month of January will be released at 10:00 this morning.

Energy Dept. will release weekly oil inventory levels at 10:30 this morning.

Ben Bernanke will speaking before Congress at 10:00 this morning.

Yesterday's action had the Dow close 114 points higher, the Nasdaq gained 17 points, and the S&P added 9 points.

The U.S. dollar trading near record lows against the euro.

Microsoft fined $1.35 billion by the European Commission for failure to comply with antitrust ruling.

Nortel Networks out with weaker than expected quarterly results, and also set to cut jobs.
