Morning News

Futures are pointing to a flat to slightly higher open this morning.

European markets are trading higher so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lowewr.

Crude oil is sitting at $99.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.53 per gallon.

Natural gas up to $9.23 per unit.

Gold is sitting at $936.00 per ounce.

Wholesale inflation data for the month of January will be released this morning.

Consumer confidence for the month of February will be released this morning.

Yesterday's action had the Dow closing 189 points highr, the Nasdaq closed 24 points higher, and the S&P ended 18 points higher.

Donald Kohn Federal Reserve Vice Chairman will be speaking at 12:15 today.

Home Depot reports 27% drop in net income, and expects a 4 to 5 percent drop in sales.

Siemens will repotedly cut 6,800 jobs.

MBIA to suspend quarterly dividend.

U.S. forclosures up 57% from one year ago.
