Morning News

Futures are pointing to a pretty flat open this morning.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end just a bit lower.

Crude oil has made its way back to $95.78 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.47 per gallon.

Natural gas reaching $8.74 per unit.

Gold is sitting at $912.00 per ounce.

January import prices set for release at 8:30 this morning.

Empire manufacturing survey for February set fpr release.

January industrial production numbers will be out just before the open.

February consumer sentiment set to be released at 10:00 this am.

Yesterday's action had the Dow giving back 175 points, the Nasdaq lost 41 points, and the S&P closed 18 points lower.

Speaking yesterday Ben Bernanke expressed concerns of a slowing economy.

Alan Greenspan believes we are sitting on the edge of a recession.

Bank of Japan leaves interest rates unchanged.

Warren Buffett discloses his company has taken on a 8.6% stake in Kraft Foods.

Dryships Inc. out with quarterly report, and the stock traded up last night in after hours trading.
