Morning News

Futures are pointing to another weak start for the market this morning.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end higher.

Crude oil is $87.95 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.24 per gallon.

Natural gas is sitting at $7.69 per unit.

Gold is currently $885.00 per ounce.

Yesterday's action saw the Dow close 128 points lower, the Nasdaq lost nearly 48 points, and the S&P gave back 14 points.

World Economic Forum in Switzerland hosting many global leaders.

A report out of Merrill Lynch forcast home prices could drop another 20 - 30 percent over the next three years.

Apple Inc. post 58% rise in fiscal first quarter profit, but forcast for 94 cents a share for current quarter well below expectations.

Philips Electronics reportedly will sell stake in L.G. Philips LCD.

Berkshire Hathaway buys 3% stake in Swiss RE.
