Morning News

Futures are pointing to a weaker open at this point this morning.

European markets are trading lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Crude oil has spiked back up to $76.76 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is now $2.11 per gallon.

Natural gas remains just under $6.00 per unit.

Gold is currently $6.74 per ounce.

Weekly jobless claims will be out before the open this morning.

Durable goods orders for the month of June will be released at 8:30 this morning.

New home sales numbers for the month of June will be out at 10:00 this morning.

Energy Dept. will release natural gas inventories at 10:30 this morning.

Apple Inc. out with a very strong quarter on sales of Macintosh computers. The company also stating it expects to sell 1 million iPhones by the end of the fourth quarter.

Potash Corp. reporting highest second quarter results in company history.

Baidu.com reporting a very strong quarter. Shares up big in after hours trading last night.

Berkshire Hathaway has bought a small stake in Kraft Foods.
